AMS Administration
Mike Hall, Ed.D.
I have served as the principal at Avonworth Middle School since 2012. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to work in such a great district with amazing students, parents, teachers, and community.
My first five years in education were devoted to teaching middle school students in Colonial Beach, Virginia. I then moved back to Pennsylvania and taught fourth grade for one year with Propel Charter Schools and three and a half years in the Canon-McMillan School District.
I entered administration when promoted to the role of Assistant Principal at Canon-McMillan High School. I worked in this capacity for two and half years prior to accepting this position as the Middle School Principal at the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
I earned my Master of Education and Administration certification from California University of Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Marietta College and am a high school graduate of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, PA.
My life outside of school is much like many families in our district. I understand the importance of school but also the importance of family. My wife and I have four amazing children that certainly keep us busy.

Kaitlin Remensky, Ed.D.
My name is Kaitlin Remensky and since 2017, I have had the unique opportunity to serve as Assistant Principal at two great buildings in our school district. As a part of the team at both Avonworth Middle School and Avonworth High School, I love working with students, families and staff to provide the best education possible for our learners in grades 7-12.
After graduating from North Hills High School, I earned my BA in History and Social Studies 7-12 PA teaching certification from Westminster College. I went on to earn my MA in History from Slippery Rock University and then my Principal Certification from the University of Pittsburgh.
My career in education began as a teaching assistant in the North Hills School District. I then spent 13 years teaching Social Studies at Knoch High School in the South Butler County School District. In 2015, I accepted a position as the Assistant Principal in the South Butler County Elementary Schools before returning to Knoch High School as Assistant Principal for the 2016-2017 school year. I was then honored to become an administrator at Avonworth in 2017.
Outside of school, I spend a lot of time on the sidelines as a “soccer mom” cheering on my two children and my husband (who is usually coaching). Our busy schedules always have us moving, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
