"On a wintry evening earlier this year, Avonworth School District, home to approximately 2,000 students in Allegheny County, hosted a graduation party. It included the typical pomp — clusters of balloons in school colors, streamers, graduation caps — but the circumstance was wholly unusual. This party feted the class of 2035, an experimental kick-off to a new strategic planning process that engaged students, staff, educators and community members in an exercise to think creatively about the future of learning in the district."

Our 6th graders raised nearly $7,000 in a walk-a-thon to support Avonworth Community Park and the Class of 2031 fund, celebrating community spirit and history.
Forty-five 8th grade Civics students visited the Allegheny County Courthouse to observe real trials, meet legal professionals, and bring their classroom learning to life.

- The last day of school for our kindergarten students will be on Friday, June 6, 2025.
- The last day of school for students in grades 1-11 will be on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Avonworth School District is proud to host the premiere of Finding Stories of Wonder in the Land of Oz, a student-created film reimagining Dorothy’s journey through innovation, science, and storytelling as part of Remake Learning Days!
